Yesterday I got a random text from someone by the name of "Green Girl" and it went like this.
Green Girl: im drivin 2 maine!!!
Me: Who is this? I think you have the wrong number.
Green Girl: isnt this maddy
Me: Nope this is Suzie. Sorry.
Green Girl: sorry have a nice day
Me: You too! Enjoy Maine :)
Green Girl: thank you
And that was the end of that conversation but, I was happy that it ended in such a nice way. Usually these types of texts result in arguments but every now and then someone nice comes along and I'm glad that these people exist.
So from now on I will be nice to the people that call/text accidentally so I can make their day better.
Have you received calls/texts from random people? How did you reply?

Shanghai Expo Review and more
I've been on vacation for the past month to China. I went to Shanghai, HangZhou, Nanjing, Sojou, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macau. It was an interesting 5 week vacation, but I think it was too long for me. I was homesick on the first week!
Went to the Expo in Shanghai, it was a let down. All the pavilions showed were movies from a projection onto the wall. I could have just watched a movie or a TV show from the Nation Geographics or Discovery Channel about the different countries at home. I felt it was a waste of money. It did look pretty from the outside walking around and it was a huge place but I wasn't too happy about the 3hour wait in line just to watch a documentary. Their advertisements are deceiving because they show that many tourists around the world visit the Expo, but to my disbelief, I could only find a handful of tourists. My advice is just don't go to the Expo because its not worth it!!
Here are some interesting signs I saw at the Expo. I had a good laugh.
Hmmm, I wonder if they
know what that reads?!
I had the hardest time figuring out what this meant... What does this mean to you?
So I love the stay logo, which says "Here You Are," which reminded me of my childhood days when my cousins would make me laugh and say here you are!! This I have to say LOL to =]
At Guangzhou it was wonderful, despite the fact that the roads were all dug up because they were getting ready for the Asian Games. I felt right at home because it was so spacious and homes were a lot bigger in terms of the square inches. Guangzhou was a great place to shop and eat, but I only ate in restaurants because I heard scary things about food stands on the street.
Macau is an hour and a half boat ride away from Hong Kong and its not very big. It was influenced by Portugal and they have many wonderful buildings there. Pastries were pretty good there but the food wasn't as good as I expect it to be. I enjoyed the architecture as I walked around town.
Hong Kong was very small. I believe I finished the tour of the place within a week. The roads were small, cars were smaller, even buses were smaller than the ones in the US. People say Hong Kong is the place to shop, but I didn't buy anything there because I didn't feel the brand name things were cheap. The food was not too good there either. I've heard many great things about the food in Hong Kong, but it just didn't live up to my expectation. Everywhere I ate I found out that put in MSG and I wasn't too fond of that. And to my surprise I realized that people who reside there could not understand English or Mandarin, and their Cantonese was incorrect. How these people communicate with tourists? I have no idea...
Here are some interesting English translation signs I found in Hong Kong and I'd like to share some laughs with you guys.
I saw this train while I was walking out to the exit and oh boy did I have a good laugh!
So how unfortunate is this that this store's name advertises that a dog only has a one life? What's next? Cats Nine Lives?
This Cigarette “Butt” container is interesting to me because in NY it’s called a Cigarette “Bud.” I found it pretty funny that it was called a “butt” there. I did find out from a friend that it was called a Cigarette “Bud” in Singapore as well. What do you call it?
