I Love You MacBook

I got my MacBook back from Apple! It had to be sent in to fix due to camera issues. I also asked for my keyboard and track-pad to be replaced. I was glad the dude Ed from the genius bar helped me and my laptop was fixed and sent back so quickly. I'm proud to be a Mac user :)
I spent this whole week without my laptop. Thank goodness I had my iPhone with me or I'd be so bored! Now my laptop is back with a brand new feel to it, I can't keep my hands off it!

These day's we can't keep ourselves off the computer or our cellphones.
What would you do without your laptop?

Thoughts on the iPad

I was eager to see what Apple had to offer and I personally had some high expectations for them. We all expected them to release a tablet of some sort perhaps called the iSlate? But to our surprise they named it the iPad...my first thought was "you mean the feminine hygiene product?" I was very disappointed with the name, why not name it the iSlate? I mean that would sound so much better! Just look at twitter and clearly the majority of people were unhappy with that name.

Interface sucks?
I expected a new interface "build from the ground up" as they like to say. They are building apps fromm the ground up so they can better work with the iPad, what about the interface? Why not have a new interface for this new device.
There is so much space between the icons (maybe bigger icons to fill in the space? I'm not an expert but I want to see something brand new) and makes us all feel like its a blown up iTouch as shown here.

I'm hesitant to buy it, mainly because the name does bother me and doesn't seem too different from the iPhone...still no flash. I'll just stick with my iPhone and all will be well.

What do you think about the iPad? Do you think it's affordable?

Kids, Origami, and Apple Keynote!

So today I volunteered to watch some foster children while their parents were at a meeting. They were such wonderful kids ranging from 5 to 10 years old. They learned how to make a paper crane and I've never seen a crowd as excited as they were. Before we even began our lesson they already asked me about how to do origami. I was so excited to teach them, but they were kids so they had very short attention spans.

We also watched Tom and Jerry cartoons and the kids reactions were priceless. Some children were scared of the mummy chasing them while others screamed because a skulls head was talking. Kids are so wonderful!

So on another note who was excited about the Apple Keynote today? I was!!! Apple has stole my heart with the new iPhone 3G S and Macbook Pros. Can you believe the Snow Leopard is going to be just $29, WOW! I currently own a white Macbook and I love it, but I cannot wait to get my hands on the new 13" Macbook Pro (hopefully ^_~)! I'm even considering to ditch my Blackberry Curve for the iPhone 3G S.
